It’s Tuesday night and you know what that means! The Title Tuesday episode of AEW Dynamite will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the October 8, 2024 episode.

The show opens up with a video promo from Jon Moxley. Moxley speaks about AEW World Champion “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson being a kamikaze who is trying to take himself out. Moxley then says no one had the constitution to do it for Danielson, so he must do it. Moxley then says there is the dark side of Danielson that most people don’t see. Moxley then says the American Dragon comes to life and it’s beautiful to see. Moxley then says Danielson has never been comfortable with that part of himself. Moxley then says Danielson will embrace his dark side and he has no choice but to be read for it. Moxley then says there are not enough people in the state of Washington to stop him on Saturday at WrestleDream. Moxley then says Danielson will understand one day that it has to be this way. Moxley then says he doesn’t have time to worry about that right now. Moxley then throws a chair and says the stakes are too high.
Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Jeff Jarrett then welcomes us to the show and Excalibur promotes Bryan Danielson vs. Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream. Excalibur also hypes the tag team main event for later tonight as a “match of champions.”
We then get a video promo from AEW World Champion “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson recorded earlier in the day. Danielson says Claudio Castagnoli did an interview with Sports Illustrated and claimed that this would be his final match on Dynamite. Danielson then says he and Wheeler Yuta will run through Castagnoli and PAC and he will keep his title on Saturday. Danielson then says he’s supported Castagnoli in every company they have been in for twenty years, but he will kick his f’n head in on Saturday.
Darby Allin then makes his way down to the ring. Darby Allin starts off by calling the House of Black’s Brody King out to the ring and King makes his way out. Allin says while King answered his open challenge for WrestleDream, he could have just asked him nicely rather than attacking him on AEW Collision. Allin then recalls the two of them staying in hotels on their days on the independent scene pondering making it to the big leagues, then recalls King being out of a job when Ring Of Honor shut down as a father of two. Allin then says he called Tony Khan and encouraged him to hire King. King then says Allin is right and he has everything he wants, but unlike Allin, he doesn’t take what he has for granted. King then questions what happens if Allin were to get injured on Mount Everest when he climbs it and says he needs someone to save him. Both men then begin brawling with each other and Allin nails King with a rock. Allin then looks to hit King with it again, but security runs down to the ring to keep the two men apart.
We then head to the back, where Renee Paquette is interviewing Lance Archer and Jake Roberts. Paquette brings up Don Callis wanting to recruit Archer and Callis walks in. Callis says it’s an exciting day in AEW as he and Roberts have done the first talent exchange. Callis then says Lance Archer is officially part of the Don Callis family and Archer shakes hands with Callis. Callis then refuses to answer Paquette’s question about Will Ospreay. Callis then walks off with Archer and Archer gives one final handshake to Roberts before leaving. Paquette then asks who Roberts got in return and he asked Paquette if she likes surprises because so does he.
We then see Daniel Garcia walk into the backstage area and he is approached by Renee Paquette. Paquette asks about his whereabouts since this is the first time he has shown up since All Out. Garcia says he wants to give her an answer, but owes it to the fans to give an explanation.
Commentary then speaks at their desk briefly about WrestleDream and the remainder of tonight’s show.
We then get the entrances of the first match of the night, which is a Singles Match.
The match starts off with Komander hitting Hologram with a couple of arm drags and Hologram responding with a tope suicida on Komander. Hologram then sends Komander back inside the ring and sends him crashing into the mat face first, then hits a kick on him and goes for a pin. Komander then kicks out and wears down Hologram’s calf with a submission, but Hologram escapes and hits him with a suplex. Komander then hits a hurricanrana on Hologram that sends him crashing out of the ring. Komander then flies over the top rope to land on Hologram, then sends him back inside the ring. Hologram then takes down Komander with a Spanish Fly off the middle rope, then climbs back up to the top and hits a 450 Splash. Komander then gets his knees up and walks the ropes. Hologram then meets him up there and looks to hit a hurricanrana, but Komander nails Hologram with a powerbomb mid-air. Hologram then hits a roundhouse kick on Komander’s head, then gets him up on one shoulder. Komander then sends Hologram crashing into the mat before Hologram nails him with an Airplane Spin for the win.

After the match, Jake “The Snake” Roberts appears on the ramp. RUSH, The Beast Mortos and Dralistico then attack Komander and Hologram. They then all put their hands together, revealing their new alliance with each other and Roberts.
We then get highlights of ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe punching Chris Jericho after Jericho mentioned the late great Jay Briscoe. We then head to the back, where ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe is being interviewed by Lexy Nair. Briscoe says Jericho messed up and this isn’t a place he wants him to be. Briscoe then puts his title belt down while saying it’s not about the belt. Briscoe then tells Jericho he will hurt him.
Daniel Garcia then makes his way down to the ring to address the AEW fans. Daniel Garcia starts off by asking the fans how they are doing, then saying it feels good to see and feel their energy again. Garcia then says he’s been sitting at home for a while, but he’s missed being in the ring surrounded by fans. Garcia then says sitting at home gave him time to think about what’s best for him and his life and it’s not always the most popular or easiest answer. Garcia then says he never wanted to be a guy who didn’t follow through on his word and he feels like he’s one of the best professionals in the world. Garcia then reveals that he’s re-signed with AEW and will be staying where the best wrestle. Garcia then says this is the version of himself that represents everyone in the back and changed everything in AEW. Garcia then says that change starts with gold around his waist, then puts all the champions in the back on notice. Garcia then goes to ringside and stands on the barricade while playing to the fans.
We then get a video package on MVP and Shelton Benjamin, which focuses on MVP telling Prince Nana that he’s ready to talk business with Swerve Strickland.
Excalibur then hypes that Swerve Strickland will be returning at WrestleDream. MVP and Shelton Benjamin are then shown watching on a backstage monitor. Excalibur questions whether Swerve would be the next man MVP brings into the fold.
We then head to the back, where Renee Paquette introduces AEW TBS and NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Mercedes Moné, who is accompanied by “The Brickhouse” Kamille. Moné tells Paquette to stick to asking questions. Moné then speaks about her double title defense against Emi Sakura. Moné says it won’t be the first time she dethrones a queen.
Daniel Garcia is then shown shaking hands with Orange Cassidy, Anna Jay, Colt Cabana, Kyle O’Reilly and Isiah Kassidy. Katsuyori Shibata then greets Garcia and uses his translator to say he’s happy that he’s staying. Shibata then says the TNT Title will be around his waist at WrestleDream and both men shakes hands.
We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is a 4-Way AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator Match.
The match starts off with Nightingale, Hayter and Rose all looking to go after Saraya. Saraya then slides out of the ring before they can and Rose looks to fly. Hayter then nails her and looks to lock up with Nightingale, but Saraya and Cameron attack them. Hayter then brawls with Cameron on the outside as Nightingale does the same with Saraya, but Rose flies off the top rope to land on all four women with a crossbody. Hayter then hits a backbreaker on Nightingale, but turns around into a kick from Saraya. Rose then nails Saraya with a clothesline, but Nightingale takes her down with a spinebuster. Hayter then nails Saraya with a forearm, then hits Nightingale with a back elbow in the corner and sends Rose into the opposite corner. Hayter then hits some back elbows on Nightingale and Rose, then sends Rose into Nightingale and hits a double suplex on them. Saraya then grabs a chair and looks to hit Hayter with it, but Hayter grabs it from her and blasts it repeatedly across her spine. Hayter then looks to hit Saraya with it once again on the outside, but Cameron prevents her from doing so. Hayter then sends Cameron crashing into the barricade, but Penelope Ford appears out of nowhere and hits Hayter with a chair of her own. Hayter then chases Ford to the back as Rose hits a powerslam on Nightingale in the ring. Saraya then delivers a couple of forearms on Nightingale and hits her with a cradle DDT. Saraya then goes for a pin, but Nightingale kicks out. Cameron and Saraya then set up a table in the corner, but Nightingale takes down Cameron and hits a Death Valley Driver on Saraya through the table in the corner. Nightingale then pins Saraya and Cameron for the win.

After the match, AEW Women’s World Champion “The Glamour” Mariah May hits a headbutt on Willow Nightingale on the entrance ramp. May then hits Nightingale with the AEW Women’s World Championship repeatedly across her spine and holds up her title.
We then head to the back, where Chris Jericho, Big Bill and Bryan Keith had a cameraman follow them. They then found Rocky Romero and assure him that they are not there to fight. Jericho says Romero doesn’t seem to know his self worth. Jericho then says Romero’s friends invited him to join The Conglomeration months after they started the group and gave him a t-shirt. Jericho then asks Romero if he wants to be a lackey and Romero gets upset. Jericho then assures Romero they were just trying to teach him a lesson. Keith then tells Romero that Jericho is a future ROH World Champion and he better respect him. Romero then says or what and Keith replies or else.
Bang Bang Gang’s “Switchblade” Jay White and “Rock Hard” Juice Robinson then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Cody Chhun is already waiting in the ring.
The match starts off with White hitting some shoulders on Chhun’s midsection, but Chhun responds with a single leg dropkick and a couple of chops. Chhun then delivers more chops on White in the corner, but White sends Chhun crashing into the mat and follows it up with Blade Runner for the win.

After the match, White grabs a mic and puts “Hangman” Adam Page on notice. White then challenges Page to a match at WrestleDream.
We then head to the back, where HOOK demands to know who attacked Taz last week. HOOK then gets in Kip Sabian’s face when he passes, but lets him go after Sabian says he knows nothing about the Taz attack. The Patriarchy then approaches HOOK looking for Sabian and HOOK tells Christian Cage that he hasn’t seen Sabian. Cage then tells HOOK that he sympathizes with him about what happened to Taz and walks off with the rest of The Patriarchy.
We then see Renee Paquette trying to interview Mariah May in the backstage area, but Willow Nightingale takes out May with The Pounce. Willow then speaks about making May a former AEW Women’s World Champion at WrestleDream.
We then. get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is an AEW TBS and NJPW Strong Women’s Championship Match.
The match starts off with both women exchanging strikes with one another. Moné then hits a chop on Sakura in the corner, then looks to hit another one. Sakura then avoids it and hits several chops of her own, but Moné responds with an arm drag on Sakura out of the corner. Sakura then hits Moné with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and charges at her in the corner, but Moné sees Sakura coming and sends her crashing into the ring post. Moné then hits a meteora on Sakura off the ring steps on the outside. Moné then hits a backbreaker on Sakura and goes for a pin. Sakura then kicks out and Moné looks to fly off the ring steps to land on Sakura. Sakura then sees her coming and drapes Moné across the barricade, then hits a crossbody on her and hits a second one on Moné and Kamille. Sakura then sends Moné back in the ring, then hits a Butterfly Backbreaker on her. Sakura then looks to pin Moné, but Moné rolls onto the apron before Sakura can. Sakura then drags Moné back into the ring, but Moné grabs the ring skirt. As the referee fixes it, Moné hits a kick on Sakura that sends her crashing into the ropes. Kamille then trips Sakura and Moné puts her in the Statement Maker for the win.

After the match, Moné and Kamille attack Sakura. Kris Statlander’s music then hits and she makes her way down to the ring to even the odds.
We then head to the back, where Private Party is being interviewed by Renee Paquette. Paquette says Stokely Hathaway asked for a chance to address them. Hathaway then shows up and speaks highly of Private Party, then offers to align with them at WrestleDream. Quen then asks where Hathaway was when they were struggling and says they don’t need him. After Hathaway leaves, Kassidy speaks about how they need this. Kassidy then says the Young Bucks are complacent and they will put the chip back on their shoulder when they take the AEW World Tag Team Titles at WrestleDream.
Tony Schiavone is already in the ring and he introduces AEW International Champion “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay and Ospreay makes his way down to the ring. Ospreay says he wishes he could move on from Ricochet, but he and Ricochet are now equal because of Konosuke Takeshita. Ospreay then says he knows Takeshita doesn’t do anything without the go ahead from Don Callis, then demands Callis come to the ring to explain why Takeshita attacked him last week during his International Championship match with Ricochet. Callis then makes his way down to the ring and looks to hug Ospreay, but Ospreay pushes him away. Callis says he has something important to say to Ospreay and last week was emotional for him. Callis then reflects on his history with Ospreay, but Ospreay stops him and asks him if he sent Takeshita to attack him last week. Callis then initially deflects, but admits to sending Takeshita after Ospreay continues to push. Callis then says Ospreay refused to listen to him and he sent Takeshita to teach him who runs things in The Don Callis Family, then blames Ospreay for costing him and Kyle Fletcher the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
Ospreay then tells Callis that he brought him the AEW International Championship and says he can’t believe he had any respect for Callis. Ospreay then tells Callis that they’re done and Callis slaps Ospreay. Ospreay then sends Callis across the ring, but Takeshita sneaks up on him. Ospreay then beats Takeshita down in the corner, but Fletcher pulls him away from Takeshita. Takeshita then hits a suplex on Ospreay, but a conflicted Fletcher heads to the back. Callis then holds Ospreay in place for Takeshita to nail him, then hands him the International Championship. Before he can nail Ospreay with it, Ricochet’s music hits and he hits a clothesline on Takeshita off the top rope. Takeshita and Callis then retreat and Ricochet hands Ospreay his AEW International Championship.
We then head to the back, where Dante Martin, Darius Martin, Action Andretti and Leila Grey cuts a promo. Darius says they are pissed about losing the 3-Way Tag Team Match on Rampage for a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Titles. Dante then says there is no reason they shouldn’t be challenging The Young Bucks at WrestleDream. Andretti then takes exception to Dante’s comments. Andretti says the Martins are not fired up. Grey then cuts off Andretti and says he’s the one messing things up. Grey then says what Andretti did screwed them. Andretti then says they don’t get it and storms away. Dante then says Andretti is “all go, no think” and it will cost them if they don’t fix it.
AEW TNT Champion “The Scapegoat” Jack Perry is then shown sitting in a stairwell and talking about Katsuyori Shibata being the embodiment of fighting spirit. Perry then questions whether Shibata is still among the best. Perry then says he wants to face the Shibata who put it all on the line when they meet for the title at WrestleDream.
We then get the entrances of the main event of the night, which is a Tag Team Match.
The match starts off with Danielson and PAC. Danielson sends Castagnoli crashing off the apron. Danielson then locks in a Bow and Arrow on PAC and Yuta hits a dropkick on him. Castagnoli then tags in and delivers some right hands on Danielson. PAC then tags in and wears down Danielson, but Castagnoli tags back in and delivers some stomps on Danielson in the corner. PAC and Yuta then tag in and Yuta delivers some right hands and chops on PAC in the corner. Yuta then hits a German suplex on PAC and goes for a pin, but PAC kicks out. Yuta then locks in the Cattle Mutilation on PAC, but Castagnoli pulls Yuta off PAC. Castagnoli then slaps Yuta, but Danielson takes him down and looks to hits a tope suicida on him. Castagnoli then sends Danielson crashing into the floor on the outside with a Styles Clash. Yuta then looks to tag out to Danielson, but Danielson is nowhere to be found on the apron. PAC then tags in on his side and looks to fly, but Yuta intercepts him with a kick. Yuta then looks to tag out again, but Danielson still isn’t to be found on the apron. Castagnoli then tags in and Yuta delivers some right hands and back elbows on him and PAC on the apron. Yuta then hits Castagnoli with a Tornado DDT.
Danielson then tags himself in and hits a missile dropkick on Castagnoli off the top. Danielson then follows it up with three kicks in the corner, then delivers more kicks and chops on Castagnoli. Danielson then places Castagnoli on the top rope and looks to hit him with a hurricanrana, but Castagnoli blocks it. Danielson then responds with a hurricanrana of his own on Castagnoli and delivers some stomps on his head, but PAC attacks him from behind. Danielson then rolls up Castagnoli, but Castagnoli kicks out. Danielson then sets up for the Busaiku Knee, but he spots Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir who have appeared at ringside. Castagnoli then takes advantage and hits Danielson with a pop-up uppercut. PAC then tags in and grabs the ring bell hammer, but Yuta grabs it from him. PAC then gets in Yuta’s face, but turns around into the LeBell Lock from Danielson and PAC taps out.

After the match, Danielson hits a dropkick on Moxley through the ropes and brawls up the ramp with him. Danielson then sends Moxley crashing into the side of the entrance tunnel and brawls him with him to the back as Shafir delivers some knees on Yuta’s midsection at ringside. Danielson then sends Moxley’s head bouncing off a road case and sends him crashing into a garage entrance as Shafir holds Yuta in place for PAC to deliver some kicks on him. Castagnoli then hits Yuta in the midsection with the ring bell hammer twice as Shafir and PAC hold him in place, but Danielson and Moxley brawl back out to the ringside area. Danielson then gets the upper hand and Shafir helps Moxley to the back. Danielson then leads the crowd in a yes chant and checks on Yuta, holding his hand up as the show comes to a close.
