Raquel Rodriguez made her anticipated return to WWE at Bad Blood, shocking fans by turning heel and aligning herself with The Judgment Day. Rodriguez’s return came at the climax of the WWE Women’s World Championship match between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, where her interference caused a controversial finish.
Rodriguez attacked Ripley outside the ring before delivering her finisher in the squared circle, resulting in a disqualification that allowed Morgan to retain her title. However, the original plan had reportedly been for Rodriguez’s interference to help Morgan secure a victory over Ripley. That finish was scrapped on the fly after Rodriguez’s interference was mistimed, with the referee clearly seeing the foul play and calling for a DQ instead.
Despite the chaotic finish, Raquel Rodriguez is officially back in the fold after an eight-month absence from the WWE. According to PWInsider, Rodriguez will now be aligned with The Judgment Day, marking a significant shift in her character as she moves forward with the faction. Reports also noted that WWE had been discussing her return as far back as July.
Rodriguez’s absence began after she was diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome in January. Despite suffering a flare-up, she still wrestled at Elimination Chamber in February and defeated Chelsea Green in a brief match on Raw two days later. However, she was pulled from active competition in March to focus on her health.
With her return now official, and her alignment with The Judgment Day solidified, Rodriguez is back in the spotlight and ready to make an impact.
