WWE, as a major force in professional wrestling, features a diverse roster of wrestlers from all over the world. However, the company has faced criticism for the lack of diversity, particularly in their Premium Live Events. When Triple H addressed this issue, stating that he “doesn’t see color,” his response drew backlash and now WWE’s internal reaction to Triple H’s remarks has been revealed.

Recently, people have been worried about how Black male wrestlers are treated on WWE’s main roster, especially since they are rarely featured in Premium Live Events. WWE knows about this problem and plans to address it, especially by highlighting Black male singles wrestlers.

During the WWE Bad Blood Post-Show Press Conference, Triple H was asked about the criticism regarding the lack of diversity, particularly the absence of Black talent at the event. He said that he doesn’t look at wrestlers based on color, nationality, or gender; he only sees talent. He emphasized that his focus is on talent, not representation.

Triple H explained that WWE tells stories with the wrestlers they have, and their priority is to bring those stories to life. He mentioned that he doesn’t keep track of representation but focuses on what matters and the biggest stories in wrestling.

“I don’t see the difference in anybody. I don’t see the color. I don’t see the nationality. I don’t see any of it. I just see talent. I don’t see the difference between men and women. I see talent. We tell stories with those talent. How they can handle those stories and how they can represent those stories and how we can bring those stories forward. I don’t keep track of any of that. I do what’s relevant and what is best and what is being delivered the best. That’s what goes. No different than the men and women, who main events. Whatever the biggest stories are, that’s where we go.”

While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp reported on WWE’s internal reaction to Triple H’s comment about not seeing color. When asked about the lack of Black male stars on Premium Live Events, WWE’s response has been relatively muted. No WWE talent has expressed to Fightful that they believe Triple H is racist, although some did mention past actions that raised questions. The general response internally was, “I wouldn’t have said that.”

One individual even referenced Cody Rhodes’ remarks during an AEW press conference, where Brandi Rhodes told Cody, “If you don’t see color, you don’t see my experience.” This response was seen as a more thoughtful way to address the issue. Fightful noted that, as of now, there hasn’t been widespread discussion about Triple H’s comment.

“I never had a WWE talent tell me that they believe Triple H is racist or anything like that. There certainly have been some that brought up some of the things he performed in years past. I didn’t get any type of expanded reaction outside, “I wouldn’t have said that,” and then some one sent me Cody thing he said at the AEW presser years ago. It was Cody saying Brandy told him once, “If you don’t see color, you don’t see my experience. And they said your top talent answered this question perfectly. As of today I didn’t hear a lot about it.”

WWE seems determined to avoid controversy over diversity, so it’s unclear when they will start including more diverse talent in their Premium Live Events. Triple H’s comments have already sparked considerable backlash, so it remains to be seen how the company will try to rectify this issue in the coming weeks.

Do you believe WWE will take proper measures to ensure that there is more diversity in Premium Live Events after Triple H’s remarks? Let us know in the comments.
