The WWE Bad Blood 2024 Premium Live Event had one goal in mind, which was to shock fans in a big way. It’s safe to say they were able to do that as The Rock came back towards the end of the show and surprised everyone in attendance. That being said, it appears that WWE Creative were kept in the dark about The Rock’s comeback.

After the main event, where Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns triumphed over Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match, The Rock made a shocking return. Without saying a word, he intensely stared down both Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, leaving fans in suspense about his next actions.

Following his appearance at Bad Blood, The Rock immediately went on Instagram and uploaded a video of himself cutting a promo about the current status of WWE, making it clear things will change soon. He made sure to take shots at Cody Rhodes and John Cena for good measure.

While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp talked about The Rock’s appearance at Bad Blood, stating that he was present for almost the entire show. However, WWE Creative didn’t receive much advance notice about his involvement and were kept in the dark. While The Rock is expected to be part of more build-up in the future, it is believed he won’t be making frequent appearances.

“He was there for like the whole show. There wasn’t a lot of heads up given to the creative. The Rock is planned for more buildup but I don’t think he’s going to be around that much.”

Even Triple H noted that The Rock ‘comes and goes as he pleases‘ and recent footage of Solo Sikoa after Bad Blood seemingly hinted at the fact that the new Bloodline may be working with The Rock. Nonetheless, it’s certainly an exciting time to be a WWE fan again, thanks to The Rock’s appearance, so we’ll have to wait and see when he will grace fans with his presence again.
