Eddie Kingston delivered a strong performance at NJPW Resurgence but unfortunately sustained a serious leg injury that will keep him out of action for a while. After having surgery, Kingston has shared an update on his recovery status.

It was revealed that that “The Mad King” suffered legitimate knee injury during his match at NJPW Resurgence. Subsequent medical evaluations confirmed the severity of the injury. Eddie Kingston would then confirm he underwent knee surgery back in July and has been on the road to recovery since then.

Eddie Kingston also confirmed that he is now able to walk again and has started doing light exercises in the gym. Eddie Kingston has shared another update on his Instagram account today, letting fans know that he is now wearing a brace as part of his recovery process.

Eddie Kingston’s recovery is expected to take approximately ten months. This timeline suggests a return to the ring around May 2025, assuming no further complications take place. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see whether Kingston will return sooner than expected and immediately begin a big program on AEW television.
