Since his release in June 2021, former WWE Superstar Tyler Breeze has been out of the WWE ring for over three years, but that hasn’t stopped speculation about a potential return. Breeze, who has made sporadic appearances in various promotions since then, recently opened up about the possibility of competing in WWE again.
During a Fanatics Fest autograph session, Breeze was asked about the chance of making an in-ring return to WWE. While Breeze expressed his desire to return, he acknowledged that the decision isn’t entirely up to him.
“Couldn’t tell you. It isn’t up to me but I’d love to,” Breeze said, keeping the door open for a potential comeback.
Tyler Breeze last competed in WWE on the June 15, 2021 episode of NXT, where he and his tag team partner Fandango lost to Imperium. Since then, Breeze has stepped into the ring in other promotions, but the question remains whether WWE will come calling for another run.
Tyler Breeze had a memorable run in WWE that spanned over a decade. Joining WWE in 2010, Breeze worked his way up through the developmental system, debuting his now-iconic “Prince Pretty” persona in 2013. As a narcissistic, fashion-obsessed model who was constantly fixated on his own appearance, Breeze became a standout character in WWE’s developmental brand NXT.
Breeze enjoyed great success in NXT, facing off against top talents like Sami Zayn, Neville, and Jushin “Thunder” Liger in notable bouts. His charisma and in-ring prowess made him a fan favorite, and he eventually formed a tag team with Fandango, known as Breezango. Together, they became a comedy duo that gained massive popularity on SmackDown thanks to their hilarious “Fashion Files” segments.
Breezango captured the NXT Tag Team Championship in 2020, marking Breeze’s first title in WWE. Despite their success, both Breeze and Fandango were released from WWE in 2021 as part of the company’s budget cuts during that period.
Though Breeze hasn’t competed in WWE since his release, his contributions to the company are still fondly remembered by fans, many of whom are eager to see him make a return to the ring.
