Since Lee Fitting joined WWE at the start of 2024, the company has explored new production techniques to enhance the viewing experience. One major shift has been the incorporation of more cinematic videos, exemplified by the recent segment featuring Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at Georgia Tech. Jeremy Borash, a key player behind the scenes and a long-time contributor to TNA Wrestling’s innovative production, played a major role in that segment.

Speaking with David Shoemaker and Kazeem Famuyide on the Ringer Wrestling Show, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels opened up about Borash’s impact within WWE, particularly on NXT and the main roster. According to Michaels, Borash’s creativity has been instrumental in WWE’s evolving production style.

“Jeremy is somebody that Triple H brought here years ago,” Michaels said. “A lot of things that we do here at NXT are now making their way to the main roster. A lot of it started with Triple H. He wanted NXT to always kind of be different, but also be a testing ground to try things and see what works and what doesn’t.”

Michaels emphasized that WWE, under Borash’s influence and Fitting’s leadership, has made innovation a priority. “When it comes to creativity, we’re going to try a lot of different stuff. I think that goes for NXT, Raw, and SmackDown. Not all of it may hit, but when we stumble on something fantastic, everybody is going to notice it.”

WWE’s willingness to test new ideas, especially through NXT as a proving ground, is helping shape the future of its programming.

With cinematic storytelling and a creative direction focused on pushing boundaries, WWE continues to evolve, ensuring that its audience experiences fresh, captivating content that enhances the drama and spectacle of professional wrestling.
