Former WWE star Aliyah has officially returned to the ring after a two-year hiatus. Now wrestling under her real name Nhooph Al-Areebi, made her in-ring comeback at a Destiny Wrestling event in Canada, marking her first match since September 2022.

Aliyah, a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, had been released from her WWE contract during the round of talent cuts in September 2023, following the Endeavor takeover. Despite being medically cleared to compete, Aliyah did not make any televised appearances in 2023 before her release.

Her last match with WWE came on the September 12, 2022 episode of Monday Night Raw, where she and Raquel Rodriguez lost the Women’s Tag Team Championship to IYO SKY and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL, ending their brief title reign.

After being out of action for over two years, Nhooph Al-Areebi made her triumphant return to the ring at the Destiny Wrestling event in her home country of Canada. She took to Instagram to express her excitement about being back in action, writing, “What a time to be alive 💗.”
