Cody Rhodes continues to shake things up in WWE, and after his latest victory, he’s making waves in more ways than one. Fresh off a main event win at WWE Bad Blood from Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, Rhodes added his hometown to the growing list of potential cities vying to host a future WrestleMania. This bold suggestion has undoubtedly given WWE executives Triple H and Nick Khan something to think about.

After teaming with Roman Reigns to defeat The Bloodline, with a little help from a returning Jimmy Uso, the Undisputed WWE Champion stuck around to thank the fans and deliver a heartfelt promo. He couldn’t help but advocate for his hometown, highlighting Atlanta’s record-setting performance for WWE:

“You heard the statistics about how many people, you heard that we set a business record for WWE. We did that here. We did that in Atlanta. I don’t know anything, I’m not a manager or anything like that, but I would wager that after a night like tonight, somehow something even bigger than Bad Blood comes to Atlanta.”

Rhodes expressed how deeply meaningful it was for him, as a kid from the South, to hold the biggest prize in the business while performing in front of his hometown crowd. His pride and passion for Atlanta were evident as he made a case for the city to host an even bigger event in the future—potentially a WrestleMania.

But the night wasn’t all victories for Rhodes. Despite his triumph in the main event, Rhodes had to deal with a shocking betrayal after Bad Blood concluded. A longtime friend turned on him, adding another layer of drama to his already eventful night.

As Cody Rhodes continues to make his mark as WWE’s top champion, his push for Atlanta to host a future WrestleMania may just be the beginning of what’s to come for both the city and the American Nightmare himself.
