Cody Rhodes’ entrance music, “Kingdom” by Downstait, has become a fan favorite in WWE, with the crowd enthusiastically joining in to shout “Woah” during the song. While it’s undoubtedly one of the most electric moments in any arena, WWE commentator Pat McAfee recently had some fun with the fact that fans might not know much beyond that key lyric.
Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee humorously pointed out that the crowd primarily tunes in for one specific moment. “So 99% of the audience doesn’t know the lyrics. They just rock out until the one part. Just the ‘woah,’” McAfee joked.
Pat also noted that after the cameras go off and he sticks around for autographs and pictures, Rhodes’ theme tends to get played on repeat. “At the end of the night… I wish they would play any song other than that song because they play it over and over and over to the point where it’s too many ‘woahs.’ You’re gonna OD on the woahs at this point. Too many.”
Despite McAfee’s playful critique, there’s no denying the powerful connection between Rhodes’ theme song and the WWE Universe. The energy during Rhodes’ entrance is electric, with fans eagerly awaiting the chance to belt out the famous “woah” in unison.
Cody Rhodes will be bringing that same energy to WWE Bad Blood when he teams up with Roman Reigns to take on Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa in what promises to be a high-stakes showdown.
