Earlier this year, AEW announced the ‘Meal & a Match’ show and it definitely caught fan attention. So far only one episode has released and the backstage reaction to the show has been revealed.
Renee Paquette and RJ City are the hosts of the ‘Mean & a Match’ show on TBS’ YouTube channel, where the duo bring in a guest as they all enjoy a meal while talking about a variety of topics. The first episode was released on May 17th and featured Eddie Kingston, and it was a hit with fans.
While speaking on the Man Men podcast, Andrew Zarian reports that there will be more AEW-focused content on Turner properties moving forward. Andrew mentioned that the recent ‘Meal & a Match’ show, which aired on TBS, received a lot of positive feedback. Many people were impressed by Renee Paquette and RJ City’s work on that show from the Warner Bros. Discovery side.
“There will be more AEW-centric content on Turner properties moving forward. You know, I will tell you, they did that Meal in a Match, and it aired on TBS. I have to tell you, I’ve heard nothing but praise. A lot of people were very impressed by Renee and RJ City on the WBD side.”
The show will be returning this Fall with another episode, so we will have to wait and see who will be the next guest on the show, as AEW and Warner Bros Discovery are clearly happy with the show so far.
