Ever since Triple H announced that there would be a WWE Women’s Speed Title, fans started wondering who would be the inaugural champion. They didn’t have to wait long as the tournament finals concluded this week and the first champion was crowned.

Following the conclusion of the October 4th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, the inaugural WWE Speed Women’s Championship tournament wrapped up with the crowning of its first-ever champion.

In the final match, IYO SKY faced off against Candice LeRae to decide who would claim the title for WWE Speed, a show exclusively featured on Twitter. Candice LeRae triumphed over IYO SKY to secure her place in history as the first WWE Speed Women’s Champion.

This is certainly a big deal for Candice LeRae as fans wanted her to win a singles championship on the main roster. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see how she will be booked as the WWE Women’s Speed Champion in the coming weeks.
