Drew McIntyre has solidified his place as one of WWE’s top Superstars, especially after his heel turn last year. His intense feud with CM Punk has taken him to new levels of success. Ahead of their highly anticipated match at WWE Bad Blood tonight, McIntyre delivered one final message, making it clear he has bad intentions for CM Punk.

In 2024, the rivalry between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk turned into one of WWE’s most exciting storylines. Even after Punk suffered a torn triceps during the Royal Rumble, the feud continued to thrive. Punk often interfered in McIntyre’s matches, causing him to lose the world title several times. The animosity between them intensified, leading to a fierce match at WWE SummerSlam, followed by another major match at Bash in Berlin, but the feud wasn’t over just yet.

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk are set to clash in a Hell in a Cell match at the WWE Bad Blood event today in Atlanta and fans couldn’t be more excited for the bout, as they expect it to be a bloody one.

Drew McIntyre took to Twitter and talked about his Hell in a Cell match with CM Punnk, which has been 10 months in the making. Despite personal challenges, he was determined to compete in the bout no matter what. He talked about his recent successes, including winning the Elimination Chamber, the World Heavyweight title, and beating CM Punk in his first singles match back. Even then, his current goal is to end CM Punk’s career for good.

McIntyre didn’t care where their match was positioned on the Bad Blood card and thanked fans for being angry on his behalf; he just wanted to settle things with The Second City Saint once and for all. He warned fans that it would be brutal, full of blood, and likely shorten their careers, apologizing in advance for the violence fans would see.

“It’s 10 months in the making. Got some fans who want some online carnage this week, but life has a way of altering plans, so these are my final thoughts. I’ll be honest, the last few days have been really tough for me and my family personally. Nothing was going to stop me from making it for this match. Hell in a Cell changes people, and this time period has changed me.

Ten months ago, I was looking to be a footnote at WrestleMania, but I wasn’t gonna let it happen. Won the Chamber, won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, won Money in the Bank, main evented the first PLE in Scotland, then beat CM Punk in his first singles match back in the company—not too bad. But tonight, I’m gonna put the finishing touches by ending the professional career of CM Punk.

It doesn’t matter if we’re on the pre-show, opening the show, halfway through the show, or the main event—everyone can go home and love the match afterward. I appreciate everyone getting angry for us. I ain’t angry; all that matters is this match happens, and this thing ends tonight. The hatred dies.

It’s not gonna be a classic, not gonna be ‘cinema.’ It’ll be brutal, shorten our careers. It’s gonna be mutually assured destruction, and there will be blood. I apologize in advance for what people will see tonight.”

It remains to be seen who will ultimately come out on top in the match as both Drew McIntyre and CM Punk are willing to lay it all on the line at Hell in a Cell today at Bad Blood, so fans are incredibly invested in what promises to be a brutal and bloody match.
