AJ Styles starts off by saying he has missed the fans and it’s only fitting that he is in Nashville tonight as it’s where it all started for him. Styles then says over the course of the past couple of months, he has done a lot of things he regrets, but he’s not here to talk about the past. Styles then says he wants to rebuild his legacy and while a lot of people don’t like him in the back, SmackDown is still the house that he built. Carmelo Hayes’ music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Hayes says he’s not surprised that there’s not a long line of people wanting to welcome Styles back after everything he’s done, but he wanted to do so. Hayes then says he’s been holding things down while Styles has been gone and he is a huge fan of Styles. Hayes then says he loves old timers like him. Styles then cuts Hayes off and says as someone who’s shared a ring with LA Knight before, he knows what he’s capable of. Hayes then says he doesn’t need Styles’ advice because he doesn’t take advice from quitters. Styles then says Hayes isn’t him as he’s not United States Champion and Hayes says Styles isn’t phenomenal as he isn’t Undisputed WWE Champion. Styles then challenges Hayes to a match, but Hayes declines to accept.

LA Knight’s music then hits and he makes his way out. Knight says he wants to talk to fans, then taunts Hayes for wanting to run away from a fight as usual. Knight then takes a couple of shots at Styles given their history with one another and says Hayes will get stomped out tonight whether that’s him punching him in the mouth four or five times or him accepting Styles’ challenge with the stipulation being that he’ll give him a shot at the United States Championship should Hayes defeat Styles and he would be able to make a case to Nick Aldis to get him a U.S. Title match. Knight then says his catchphrase and calls for a referee.

Singles Match (If Carmelo Hayes Wins, Then He Earns A Shot At The United States Championship): Carmelo Hayes vs. “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles

The match starts off with Hayes delivering some strikes on Styles, but Styles responds with some chops on Hayes in the corner and nails him with a dropkick. Styles then hits Hayes with a back elbow and looks to follow it up with a springboard moonsault, but Hayes sees it coming and nails Styles with a springboard crossbody. Hayes then goes for a pin, but Styles kicks out. Hayes then hits a suplex on Styles and goes for another pin, but Styles kicks out once again. Hayes then sends Styles out of the ring and gloats, then hits Styles with a couple of right hands on the apron and sends him crashing into the announce desk face first as LA Knight watches from the announce desk. Styles then nails Hayes with a clothesline and follows it up with a forearm. Styles then hits Hayes with a splash in the corner and follows it up with a shoulder-breaker, but the referee calls for the bell after Styles grabs onto his leg appearing to be injured.

The winner of the Singles Match, Carmelo Hayes!

After the match, Alicia Taylor declares Hayes as the winner, but LA Knight enters the ring and hits Hayes with a BFT.

Commentary then sends us to a video package recapping the storyline between The Bloodline vs. Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. Cole then questions whether Rhodes can truly trust Roman Reigns.

Several production people then starts to bring down a dumpster to ringside as Michin vs. Chelsea Green in a Dumpster Match is up next.

We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is a Dumpster Match.

Dumpster Match: The O.C.’s Michin vs. Chelsea Green

The match starts off with Michin throwing Green a kendo stick as she holds one of her own. Green then charges at Michin with the kendo stick, but Michin nails several shots on her and follows it up with a tope suicida to take her down on the outside. Michin then sends Green back in the ring, then grabs a chair, a garbage can and a table from under the ring. Green then looks to fly through the ropes to land on Michin, but Michin nails her with a tray before Green can and she climbs to the top. Michin then hits a dropkick on Green and looks to put her in the dumpster, but Green prevents Michin from doing so and sends her crashing into the side of the dumpster. Green then sends Michin crashing into the lid face first. Michin then hits a German suplex on Green and looks to follow it up with the Eat Defeat. Green then blocks it and hits a Canadian Destroyer on Michin, then places Michin in the dumpster and looks to close it. Michin then prevents Green from doing so, then hits Green repeatedly in the head with a garbage bag from the dumpster and throws another one on top of her. Michin then hits Green across the spine with one of the bags and looks to hit her with a tray, but Green sees Michin coming and sets her up for the Unprettier on top of the tray.

Michin then avoids the maneuver and hits Green with Eat Defeat, then places a garbage can on top of Green’s head. Michin then climbs to the top and hits a senton on Green before placing a table on top of the dumpster. Piper Niven then appears at ringside and attacks Michin, then hits a senton on her and looks to follow it up with a cannonball to sandwich Michin between herself and the dumpster. Michin then moves out of the way, sending Niven into the side of the dumpster. Michin and Green then begin brawling on the apron and Michin powerbombs Green through the table set up on the dumpster. Michin then closes the lid to win the match.

The winner of the Dumpster Match, The O.C.’s Michin!

After the match, Michin celebrates while Green emerges from the dumpster.

We then head to the back, where we see that AJ Styles is getting checked on and is getting evaluated by the doctors. Corey Graves then provides an update on Styles and informs then fans that he’s been taken to a local hospital to get his injured ankle checked on.

We then see WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill tell Naomi that the three of them will be the hosts of Bad Blood tomorrow. All three women then begin to dance and Bayley shows up and dances awkwardly with them. This then causes Belair and Cargill to roll their eyes. Bayley then asks for a minute to talk to Naomi and she tells Naomi that she was going to call out Nia Jax and when she beats her at Bad Blood, she will get the first shot at the title.

Bayley then makes her way down to the ring to address the WWE Universe. Bayley starts off by saying in 24 hours she has the opportunity to win back the WWE Women’s Championship. Bayley then demands Nia Jax to make her way down to the ring and invites Jax to bring Tiffany Stratton along with her. Nia Jax’s music then hits and she makes her way down to the ring alongside Stratton. Jax tells Bayley to say whatever she needs to and Bayley says Jax has never understood the significance of the WWE Women’s Championship. Bayley then says she grew up watching people like Molly Holly, Victoria, Trish Stratus and Lita among others hold the title and they made the title feel larger than life, but she will admit that none of the legends has had as dominant of a reign as Jax has. Bayley then says only two people in WWE can dethrone Jax: her and Stratton. Bayley then says the second Stratton is tired of being put down by Jax, she will cash in her Women’s Money In The Bank briefcase.

Stratton then objects to Bayley’s statement and says she doesn’t need the Money In The Bank briefcase to beat Jax. Jax then asks what Stratton just said and Stratton back tracks. Jax then demands Bayley to bow down to her Queen, but Bayley declines to do so. Stratton then looks to nail Bayley with her briefcase, but Bayley sees her coming. Jax then attacks Bayley and looks to hit her with a senton, but Bayley moves out of the way before Jax can and she picks up Stratton’s Money In The Bank briefcase. Bayley then hits Jax with the briefcase and nails her with a running knee, then drapes the WWE Women’s Championship across Jax’s waist. Stratton then considers cashing in her Money In The Bank briefcase, but decides against it when Jax sees what she’s about to do.

Naomi then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night.
