The October 1 edition of NXT was a huge milestone as it debuted on the CW Network and the company is truly firing on all cylinders right now. In fact, WWE will be airing a replay of their October 8th episode in order to go head-to-head with WrestleDream.

AEW WrestleDream is set for Tacoma, WA on Saturday, October 12th, and will be broadcast live from the Tacoma Dome and there is undoubtedly a ton of hype for the pay-per-view.

On the other hand, the October 8th edition of WWE NXT will take place at The Factory in Chesterfield, Missouri, located in the St. Louis market and it will try to keep the momentum going following a strong showing by the October 1st episode.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE plans to air a repeat of the October 8 NXT show on October 12th on CW, directly competing with AEW’s WrestleDream pay-per-view, but he doesn’t believe it will make any difference.

“WWE is putting a repeat of the 10/8 NXT show on 10/12 on CW, head-to-head with the AEW WrestleDream PPV show. I don’t see it as something that will make any difference”

This isn’t even the first time WWE will be going head-to-head with AEW event this year either. Regardless, we will have to wait and see where NXT airing the replay for its 8th October episode will make any difference in the end.

What do you think of WWE's tactics to air the replay head-to-head against Wrestle Dream? Will it affect the AEW event? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
