Injuries are always going to be a part of the situation when you’re talking about the pro wrestling world. You also never know when someone is going to come down with something that will keep them out of action for months. Ilja Dragunov was injured during a recent match against GUNTHER, and it’ll be quite a wait until he gets back to the ring.

During the September 30 episode of WWE RAW, it was revealed that the former NXT Champion was injured, and now we have a bit more information on his situation. Sadly, fans won’t see him wrestle again this year.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ilja Dragunov suffered a torn ACL in his September 28 house show mach in Columbus, Georgia, where he faced Gunther in a title match. He looks to be out of action for about nine months

Following the announcement of this injury, GUNTHER tweeted out to taunt Dragunov in brutal fashion. He is obviously not being a gracious winner about this, as he rubbed salt in the wound here.
