Mexican wrestler El Hijo del Vikingo, who gained significant attention in the wrestling world, was briefly out due to a knee injury but has now returned to action. In fact, his contract situation with AEW has been revealed, adding more clarity to his future with the company.

On February 17, 2024, Vikingo partnered with Psycho Clown and Wotan at AULL Rencor Extremo but suffered a loss against Negocio Traumado. The match was stopped due to an injury to Vikingo’s right knee.

It was confirmed that he underwent the surgery successfully and was cleared for an in-ring return last month. Vikingo has competed in quite a few matches in AEW over the past couple of years, with his incredible match against Kenny Omega being a highlight.

While speaking on the K100 podcast, Konnan was asked about Vikingo’s contractual status with AEW. Konnan confirmed that Vikingo isn’t under contract with AEW and fans might see him somewhere else very soon.
