Shelton Benjamin has often left fans with the impression that he never fully reached his potential in previous wrestling promotions. After his release from WWE, many expected him to join AEW, and that’s exactly what happened and now, he has shared his first remarks following this transition.
MVP made his debut in AEW on September 25 during the Dynamite event at Arthur Ashe Stadium, surprising everyone at Grand Slam. He returned for AEW’s 5-year anniversary show and announced that he had something important to share with the fans.
During the October 2nd episode of Dynamite, MVP had a backstage moment where he gave his business card to Mercedes Mone. Later, while he was trying to record another promo, Prince Nana interrupted him and offered to help MVP by stepping into the ring. That’s when MVP revealed a big surprise as he announced that he doesn’t handle complaints himself, but Shelton Benjamin does. The camera then showed that Shelton Benjamin is now part of AEW.
The Gold Standard took to his Instagram following the conclusion of AEW Dynamite and uploaded a photo of himself alongside MVP, as he simply stated that he is getting back into business.
”Getting Back to Business #aewdynamite #justdowork #complaintdept”
With Bobby Lashley remaining the last piece of the puzzle, fans expect him to join MVP and Shelton Benjamin soon enough. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether The Hurt Syndicate will rule over AEW eventually, as fans are excited for the future.
