Giulia Criticized for Over-the-Top Appearance in WWE

After months of anticipation, Giulia made her official WWE NXT debut at the No Mercy Premium Live Event. She quickly targeted Roxanne Perez and eventually challenged her for the NXT Women’s Title. While fans are happy to see Giulia in WWE, it appears she has been criticized for her over-the-top ring gear.

While Giulia had a strong performance against Roxanne Perez during the October 1 edition of NXT, she couldn’t secure a win due to Cora Jade’s unexpected return, which made headlines worldwide.

However, Bully Ray pointed out a significant issue with Giulia that went beyond her in-ring skills. While speaking on a recent episode of the Busted Open Podcast, the Hall of Famer talked about how Giulia’s gear was a major distraction for fans and criticized her for the same. He noted that while her performance was impressive, her appearance seemed more appropriate for a photo shoot than a wrestling match.

Bully Ray explained that while he thought Giulia looked great, the combination of her hair and the fur on her skirt made her movements appear less coordinated, as everything was moving in different directions. He emphasized that although her look was stunning, it would be better if she toned it down a bit for her matches.

“So, when I see Giulia come out, I think she looks great if she’s walking the runway for a photoshoot. But then you get in the ring, and between the hair and the fur on the skirt, and everything, it makes the athlete, to me, look like they’re flailing around a lot more because everything is flying in so many directions. Don’t get me wrong, it looks phenomenal, but it’s a little too much. I’d like to see her scale back just a little bit on the gear.”

As for what’s next for Giulia, it is expected Giulia will be feuding with Cora Jade in the coming weeks. Therefore, it remains to be seen how WWE will book their program, as fans are definitely invested already.
