TNA Wrestling’s Hard to Kill event marked the beginning of a new era for the company, as the promotion officially went back to its roots. Since then, a lot of changes have taken place in the promotion and now it appears there have been talks about bringing back the six-sided ring to TNA.

During the golden days of TNA Wrestling, the ring used to be six-sided and it led to some of the most iconic moments in the promotion but it was eventually scrapped several years ago. Since then, the ring only came back on rare occasions and the rings for TNA shows have been four-sided.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Eric Young was asked if there were any talks of bringing back the six-sided ring after TNA’s rebranding. He said that the six-sided ring does exist somewhere, but there are challenges to consider. For instance, a truck would need to transport the ring across the United States. Currently, when TNA goes to different towns, they use local rings and make them look like the TNA ring, but each one is different.

Young explained that TNA used to have a truck that moved the ring from city to city, but he doesn’t think that’s possible for TNA right now. He also mentioned he isn’t sure if the six-sided rings are still around, so they might have to be built if needed. He believes it would be interesting for someone to look into where the metal from the rings might be.

“For sure there are, but I’m sure the six-sided rings exist somewhere. Then there’s this whole other cost to consider—now you have to have a truck that drives all over the United States, hauling this six-sided ring. When we go to towns, we’re using rings that are in and around the area, and then they dress it up to make it look like the TNA ring. The TNA ring looks like the TNA ring, but the ring is never the same; it’s a different ring in every city we’re in. So there’s this whole other cost involved because the only place that had them was TNA, and at that point, it was big enough to have a ring truck that drove from city to city.

We would have the truck or the six-sided ring, but I don’t think that’s viable for where TNA is now. The truth is, I don’t know if the six-sided rings even exist, so I’d have to have them built. They’ve got to be somewhere; the metal has to be somewhere. I’m sure it would be an interesting deep dive for someone to find out.”

Jordynne Grace believes that TNA should only bring back the six-sided ring for special occasions. Nevertheless, only time will tell whether TNA will ever feature the six-sided ring again, as it seems unlikely at the moment.
