The October 1st episode of NXT secured 895,000 viewers with 0.26 in the coveted 18-49 demographic and this marked NXT’s highest ratings in almost a year. Naturally, fans were very happy with this rating as well.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the October 1 edition of NXT was a huge success on the CW Network, achieving the highest ratings the channel had seen in a long time. The previous week, reruns of The Conners were pulling in around 300-400K viewers, but NXT surpassed that by a wide margin. CW officials were thrilled with the numbers, as they would have been satisfied with 500K viewers, but the actual figure exceeded their expectations, leading to celebrations.
We have also reported that the CW Network censored fan chants during the show. Nevertheless, NXT currently has a lot of momentum, and it will be interesting to see if they can maintain this success in the coming weeks.
