AEW has a history of targeting footage that they don’t want getting out there. A recent incident went down before Dynamite this week with Sammy Guevara, and AEW would like that footage to go away.

AEW saw a day on October 2 with the announcement of a new television deal with Warner Bros Discovery, followed by a special 5-year anniversary show on TBS. However, before the event began, an injury occurred.

Prior to the October 2 AEW Dynamite, Sammy Guevara faced Serpentico in a match. After Guevara attempted a cutter off the ropes, he did not get up. AEW personnel quickly rushed to the ring and surrounded Guevara, and that was a scary moment.

Footage of Sammy Guevara in the ring and being tended to by staff went viral. That video was taken by a fan, but now AEW has targeted that footage. Now it only says: “The media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.”

Ringside News and other fans in attendance at the event shared that video on Twitter as soon as the event went down. Now, that video is no longer viewable, and it has been hit with a takedown notice. That being said, the footage is now lost media.

This isn’t the first time that AEW has sent out DMCA takedowns. In fact, AEW referee Aubrey Edwards has been accused in the past of filing those notices while using a fake name. We will have to see what happens next, but it appears that AEW doesn’t want fans seeing the Spanish God’s incident before Dynamite in Pittsburgh.
