The long-awaited Mr. McMahon documentary finally released last week, and wrestling fans have eagerly watched it, confirming many suspicions about Vince McMahon’s controversial life and career. In that regard, WWE’s internal reaction to the documentary has now been revealed as well.

The Netflix docuseries on Vince McMahon has created significant discussions about the former WWE chairman and his controversial actions during his time in power. The series delved into several sensitive issues, including Sable’s sexual harassment case, McMahon’s attempts to defend himself against past assault allegations and also him claiming his mind has several “computers” running at the same time.

While speaking during a Q&A session, WrestleVotes was asked about WWE’s backstage reaction to the Vince McMahon documentary. WrestleVotes noted that backstage reaction within WWE to the Vince McMahon Netflix documentary has been fairly cautious.

While it’s clear that many have watched it and formed their own opinions, there’s an unspoken understanding that it’s best to keep those thoughts private. The general sentiment backstage was that while discussions among friends are fine, people are advised to keep their opinions on the documentary to themselves, especially when at work.

”I’m sure everybody watched it and everybody has those opinions, but in situations like this, maybe best to keep these opinions to yourself and that’s what was floating around yesterday and Friday on TV. You know you can talk amongst friends but whatever opinion you have, keep those to yourself about this documentary.”

A former WWE writer also claimed that Vince McMahon incriminated himself in the documentary and that hours of footage were removed from the documentary. Nonetheless, the documentary has clearly surpassed all expectations and really got people talking and that’s all that matters in the end.
