Shotzi Blackheart sustained a significant injury during a February NXT TV taping, prompting alterations to the scheduled events. Following her injury, she underwent surgery and has been on the road to recovery since then. In fact, she has now started her in-ring training for her eventual return.

At the NXT taping in question, Shotzi injured her knee while attempting to execute her signature apron DDT. The injury left her in considerable pain and unable to bear weight on her knee. She has since confirmed that she suffered an ACL tear and underwent surgery, which would have her sidelined for approximately nine months at the time of surgery.

Shotzi Blackheart used her Instagram Story to share an update on her recovery from the severe injury she suffered. The WWE Superstar confirmed that she has begun training for her in-ring return, while also sporting a knee brace.

We have also reported that Shotzi is currently working on an ‘American Psycho’ gimmick for her eventual return. Shotzi also underwent stem cell therapy during her absence. It remains to be seen when she will be able to return to in-ring action, as fans sorely miss her.
