WWE fans are buzzing with excitement as plans for Roman Reigns at the upcoming 2025 Royal Rumble seem to be coming into focus. The 38th annual Royal Rumble is just under four months away, set to take place on February 1, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, and the buzz around Reigns is stronger than ever.

The official poster for the premium live event has dropped, featuring none other than Roman Reigns, sparking intense speculation about what role “The Tribal Chief” will play. Thanks to a recent Backstage Pass Live Q&A hosted by WrestleVotes, fans may have gotten some answers.

According to WrestleVotes, Reigns is expected to be part of the Royal Rumble match itself rather than in a singles match.

“From just the short questions that I asked that I got back, he’s probably more likely to be in the Rumble for the first time in a while as opposed to a singles stand-alone match… Roman’s on the Rumble poster, likely to be in the Rumble match.”

This would be a significant return for Reigns, as he hasn’t competed in a men’s Royal Rumble match since 2020, where Drew McIntyre emerged victorious. Reigns’ Royal Rumble appearances in 2021, 2022, and 2023 were all during his historic Undisputed WWE Universal Championship reign, where he defended his title in various singles matches, including a Fatal Four-Way against AJ Styles, LA Knight, and Randy Orton in 2024.

If Reigns does enter the 2025 Royal Rumble match, it will be the ten-year anniversary of his only Rumble victory back in January 2015. Fans are eager to see whether he can repeat history or if another superstar will take the spotlight.

With so much anticipation, WWE’s 2025 Royal Rumble is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable and exciting in recent memory, especially with Reigns’ potential return to the 30-man match.
