Chris Hero Slams Juicy Finau for Misleading Fans Over Journey Fatu ‘Missing’ Angle in Deleted-Tweet

The wrestling world has been concerned about the disappearance of Journey Fatu, who is the brother of Jacob Fatu and the nephew of WWE legend Rikishi. Many people have expressed genuine worry for his well-being. However, Juicy Finau has now clarified the situation and apologized for misleading everyone with the storyline about Journey’s disappearance.

Jacob Fatu’s brother Journey was reported missing, as mentioned by Juicy Finau, who took to Twitter to share this news and even created a hashtag. Even recently, Juicy Finau claimed that Journey Fatu remained missing and even made a hotline dedicated to Journey Fatu.

AEW producer Chris Hero, in a now-deleted tweet, called out Juicy Finau by stating that the situation was just a storyline. He criticized the creators for being insensitive and urged them to delete everything related to it. Hero expressed strong disapproval, stating that they misled many people about a serious issue. He called it a very ignorant action and urged everyone involved to be ashamed.

Hero insisted they should apologize and never try something like this again. He pointed out that, no matter what the QR code leads to, many people were misled, especially since there are real missing persons cases happening in the country. He expressed embarrassment about the situation and criticized anyone who shared it to push a storyline.

“Hey everyone. This is a work. An incredibly ignorant work. To anyone involved with this, you should be ashamed of yourselves. DELETE it. APOLOGIZE. And never do any dumb s**t like this again. I don’t care what the QR code leads to- take a look through the comments/quotes & sadly you’ll see people who have been misled. I’m so embarrassed to see this. Especially when loved ones across the country are actually missing from a very REAL tragedy. Shame on anyone sharing this in an effort to push a dumbass storyline.”

Juicy Finau took to Twitter and responded by admitting that the situation was indeed part of an angle. He explained that they had been working on this storyline since early August for their home promotion and did not expect it to gain so much attention on social media.

Finau began by apologizing for any emotional distress the Journey angle may have caused. He acknowledged that he was unaware of the real-world situation affecting many people at the time, likely referring to the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene, which has claimed the lives of over 100 people and affected many more. He expressed regret for his ignorance regarding current events and sincerely apologized to anyone he may have offended. He clarified that the intention was only to create a story, but it unexpectedly escalated.

“First & Foremost I want to apologize for any emotional damage & distress I have caused with the following Journey angle. We’ve been working on this story since early august for our home promotion….Unfortunately I wasn’t aware of the situation that is currently happening in the real world. I want to apologize for My ignorance to current world events. I am sorry. To those I have offended with this I apologize sincerely. This was only meant to be a story and it blew up. I am sorry.”

While it’s a relief that Journey Fatu is safe and has been found, it’s unfortunate that Juicy Finau and others would create such a storyline during such a difficult time. Now that the people involved have been called out for making this angle seem too realistic, it remains to be seen if they will continue with it and whether Journey or Jacob Fatu will address the situation.
