AEW and Warner Bros Discovery have maintained a partnership since Tony Khan’s pro wrestling company since AEW opened their doors. They have three shows on the networks, but recent developments may not look great for AEW Rampage.

AEW was preparing for its next television deal. Ongoing discussions between AEW and Warner Bros Discovery may also include the potential for AEW pay-per-views to be available on MAX. Several options were being considered, but it was clear that their exclusive rights window had expired. Despite this, discussions remained positive leading up to the announcement.

Sean Ross Sapp reports on Fightful Select that Early indications were that TruTv and AEW Rampage weren’t included in the upcoming announcement. We are still awaiting official news on AEW’s next television deal with Warner Brothers Discovery.

AEW Rampage aired their first episode on August 13, 2021, but viewership continued to slip after that. They taped matches after AEW Dynamite each week for the longest time, with spoilers coming out shortly after their Wednesday night show. We will have to see what happens with AEW’s new television deal, but Rampage may be going away.

AEW already had to nix their Dark and Dark Elevation shows on YouTube as part of their deal with WBD. There was an exclusivity situation which caused the cancellation. We’re not sure what the reasons behind Rampage’s absence from this ongoing announcement may be, but it’s not a great sign for AEW’s Friday night show.

Ringside News has continued to provide coverage for the show each week, with our AEW Rampage results hub being the go-to destination for all of those outcomes.
