AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery have officially locked in a new multi-year media rights deal, continuing their successful partnership. The deal was confirmed by Variety, marking a major win for Tony Khan’s pro wrestling company as they secure their future with WBD.

While exact financial details weren’t disclosed, sources indicate the deal is valued at over $150 million per year, encompassing AEW’s flagship shows Dynamite and Collision, which will continue airing on TBS and TNT, respectively. What’s new and exciting for fans is that, starting in January 2025, AEW programming will also stream live on Max for U.S. subscribers, with shows available on-demand. This is a significant first for AEW since its 2019 launch, adding an entirely new dimension to their content distribution.

Tony Khan expressed his excitement in a statement:

“We are honored to announce the extension of our incredible partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery. This extension continues the tradition of iconic wrestling events broadcast on TBS and TNT, while also establishing a new legacy for AEW through weekly live streams on Max for years to come. We thank David Zaslav, Kathleen Finch and everyone at WBD for their tireless support of All Elite Wrestling since its inception, as well as the AEW fans, talent and staff that helped make this possible.”

Interestingly, Rampage is not included in this new deal, which could hint at potential shifts or new directions for AEW’s content in the future. In addition to this, AEW is preparing to debut a new show on FOX, titled Shockwave, continuing the company’s momentum in expanding its reach.
