AEW Preparing Promotional Materials for Warner Bros Discovery Television Deal Announcement

New television deals are starting for WWE, but AEW has yet to announce anything specific. Now, it appears that the light is getting much larger at the end of that tunnel for AEW and Warner Bros Discovery.

With 2024 wrapping up in a couple of months, that is putting AEW in a crunch time mode. During the All Out press conference, Tony Khan did say that he gave a 90% chance that something new would be announced within the next month.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that the AEW and WBD announcement is imminently. As of this writing, they are preparing materials for the promotional announcement to let everyone know that AEW and WBD have reached a deal.

“Fightful Select has learned that promotional materials are prepared the AEW and WBD deal announcement is happening as soon as this afternoon unless things change.”

Tony Khan was in Paris during the 2024 Olympic Games to discuss this deal. It was said that things were moving along at the time, but nothing has been announced yet. Now, all appearances are that fans will hear something soon.

Swerve Strickland let it slip that AEW is going to “take” FOX. It was later reported that Strickland regrets letting that leak, so it’s anyone’s guess what the official announcement will be.

The ongoing television talks between AEW and Warner Bros Discovery could also see those pay-per-views on MAX. Only time will tell what direction they go, because there are a lot of possibilities at play. At this time, while the deal isn’t closed and their exclusive rights window has expired, talks are still amicable.

We do know that BR Live is shifting away from AEW pay-per-view events. They are now allowing anyone who purchased a pay-per-view under that platform to transfer the event to Triller in a 14-day window.
