Shelton Benjamin has often left fans feeling that he never reached his full potential in past wrestling promotions. After his release from WWE, many anticipated that he would join AEW, but talks didn’t go as planned. Despite this setback, Benjamin is still expected to sign with AEW soon.
As mentioned previously, ongoing discussions took place between Shelton Benjamin and AEW, exploring the possibility of his appearances for the company. However, negotiations fell through and fans lost hope about him debuting in AEW.
During AEW Grand Slam, MVP made his debut as he interrupted Prince Nana and made it clear he wanted to work with Swerve Strickland. We also reported that MVP’s segment had a subtle easter egg, as ”Hurt Syndicate” was written on MVP’s card.
According to Ibou of WrestlePurists, Shelton Benjamin is headed to AEW and is expected to sign with the promotion soon. This falls in line with MVP’s debut and Bobby Lashley’s expected signing as well.

Jim Ross also believes Shelton Benjamin would be a huge asset to any locker room. Regardless, we will have to wait and see when Benjamin will make his way to AEW, as he will definitely excite fans upon his debut.
