Cora Jade is tackling her latest challenge with determination. After suffering an ACL injury, she has been putting in a lot of effort to recover. While she hasn’t returned to WWE TV yet, Roxann Perez has provided an update on Jade’s progress.
In January, Cora Jade suffered a torn ACL at a WWE NXT live event, raising concerns among fans about a potentially lengthy absence. Following the injury, she underwent surgery and began her recovery process.
During her appearance on The Ringer Wrestling Show, NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez was asked for an update on Cora Jade’s status. The two share a close friendship off-screen and have teamed up and feuded in the ring.
Perez mentioned that Jade might have about a month left in her recovery from a serious knee injury. She added that it’s uncertain when Jade will return, hinting at their complicated relationship and speculating that Jade might come after her when she does come back.
”I think she has about maybe a month left (Perez said about Cora Jade’s recovery). She did have a really bad knee injury. Yeah, so who knows when she’s gonna pop up? Kind of have a love-hate relationship so, I feel like she might be coming for me soon or, maybe, maybe she won’t. We don’t know. Maybe she’ll come back around.”
At the NXT live event in Fort Pierce in May, Cora Jade surprised fans by making an appearance and even challenged Roxanne Perez to a future title match, creating excitement for a potential showdown between them. However, it remains to be seen how Jade will be booked when she makes her return to NXT television.
