Saraya is still doing her thing in AEW, and she is using her position to make sure that the women’s division has as much strength as possible. The former Paige last locked up at AEW Collision: Grand Slam on September 28, and that match garnered a lot of attention.

The AEW Collision: Grand Slam event included a few notable matches, including Saraya getting her hands dirty in the ring. In a Saraya’s Rules Match, Jamie Hayter defeated Saraya, who was accompanied by Harley Cameron, in just over eight minutes. After all, Hayter made her return to AEW at All In 2024, where she interrupted Saraya during the Zero-Hour show.

During his Backstage Report Podcast, Sean Ross Sapp noted that Saraya has been receiving a lot of praise backstage. This was especially after her match at Grand Slam: Collision this year at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

“She had a match at AEW Collision Grand Slam that ended up getting a lot of positive reception backstage.”

Saraya wasn’t able to wrestle for years, as WWE kept her out of the ring during the last portion of her contract. She suffered an injury that was thought to be career-ending, but Tony Khan had other plans. She has wrestled a total of 26 matches since making her 2022 debut during the Grand Slam event.

AEW has already announced that the 2025 Grand Slam would be held as a pay-per-view event on February 15, 2025, at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. This will be a huge show for the company, and only time will tell how Saraya may get booked for the card.

We will keep our eyes on this story for more updates. Tony Khan has given Saraya a lot more creative freedom than she had in WWE. She is also getting to wrestle once again. Only time will tell if she gets another run as champion, but the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion is still getting praises internally from the company.
