Enzo Amore, formerly one of WWE’s most entertaining yet controversial stars, has addressed the swirling rumors regarding a potential move to AEW. Although Enzo, real name Eric Arndt, hasn’t stepped foot in a WWE ring for years, his name still garners buzz—especially with the increasing speculation that he might make his way to AEW.

Since his WWE release, which followed allegations of sexual assault (later proven false), Enzo has kept busy on the independent wrestling scene, making a substantial living outside of the major promotions. However, the question of whether he’d join AEW has lingered, especially given the success of his former tag team partner Big Cass (now W. Morrissey) in the promotion.

In a recent interview with Inside the Ropes, Enzo set the record straight. He revealed that while he had been in touch with AEW a few years back, there was no significant interest on either side at the time. For now, he seems content with his current career trajectory and isn’t actively seeking a deal with AEW.

“I think a few years ago, I was in contact with them. There was a lack of interest on their end, and they were bringing in Big Cass, and honestly, no. The answer is no,” Enzo explained. “I’m doing fine in my life, you people know my phone number, if they wanted to get in touch with me and contact me, they could. People know that I’m a draw when it comes to television. You put me on your TV screen, I’m going to do a number, at least the first day. It’s on me to keep the train rolling. But I just know that it’s one of those feelings where if you don’t want to work with me, I don’t want to work with you.”

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has weighed in on the possibility of Enzo joining AEW, expressing that he believes the outspoken star could thrive in the company. Despite this, it remains unclear whether AEW will reach out to him again or if Enzo is truly done with the idea of working there.

Could Enzo Amore find his way to AEW in the future, or is his time with the company just a pipe dream? Fans of “The Realest Guy in the Room” will have to wait and see what the future holds for the charismatic star.
