CM Punk has never been one to mince words, and during a recent interview, he kept that reputation intact when asked about his ongoing feud with Drew McIntyre. With tensions boiling over, Punk didn’t hold back his feelings as the two prepare for their climactic Hell in a Cell match at WWE Bad Blood on October 5.
In an interview with Spiegel & Holmes on 670 The Score, Punk made his thoughts crystal clear. When asked what he thought about McIntyre, Punk replied, “I think Drew is a piece of sh*t.” He went on to acknowledge the intensity of their rivalry, comparing it to a “good car crash” that fans can’t help but watch. Punk drew parallels between their feud and classic sports rivalries like Cubs vs. White Sox, noting that the fans are naturally drawn to such bitter feuds.
This Hell in a Cell match will be Punk’s biggest test since returning to WWE, and he’s not shying away from the stakes. He even stated that he’s willing to let this be the end of him if it means putting an end to the rivalry. McIntyre, for his part, seems just as determined, expressing a willingness to end Punk’s career for good.
With both men ready to go to extreme lengths, fans can expect nothing less than a brutal showdown at Bad Blood. As a reminder, Ringside News will have live play-by-play coverage of the event over in our WWE Bad Blood section. Keep checking back for any news, rumors or spoilers heading into the show.
