WWE’s NXT brand has seen tremendous growth over the past few years. The excelled on the USA Network and then landed their own television deal with The CW. The brand’s final week on their old home was almost cut short.

The September 24 WWE NXT was a historic night for the black and gold brand. It marked their final night on the USA Network, and they also had an overrun. This may have also been an interesting situation if they didn’t end things when they did.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that NXT’s lengthy overrun nearly led to the show being pulled from the air by USA Network, finishing just seconds before the cutoff. Fortunately, the broadcast was wrapped up without any issues, but the black and gold brand came very close to a potential interruption.

WWE will have their NXT show on the road for a couple of weeks, but they will return to the NXT Arena. Once they do, that they will have a brand-new look for the show, as the remodeling has already started.

We will have to see what the future of NXT looks like from this point on. They will be in Chicago’s Allstate Arena for the October 1 episode, and tickets are still available on TicketMaster.

The NXT brand will then go to Chesterfield, MO for their next week’s episode at The Factory. Tickets for that event right outside of Saint Louis are still available on TicketMaster.
