Layla, who was with WWE from 2006 to 2015 and played a major role in various storylines, recently spoke about the possibility of returning to the company. She has now addressed the idea of a LayCool reunion with Michelle McCool, her former tag team partner.

Layla previously revealed why she left WWE, as there was simply nothing more she could have done in the company, and she was completely satisfied with her run with WWE.

Michelle McCool became very popular as a babyface during her time in WWE, but her most famous run was when she turned into a heel and teamed up with Layla to form LayCool. This partnership lasted for two years and helped McCool stand out in WWE, showing a different side of her.

Together, LayCool ruled the women’s division, with both Michelle and Layla winning the WWE Women’s and Divas Championships and that made them one of the most well-known and successful teams in WWE’s women’s history.

While speaking to the They made their way to the ring podcast, Layla talked about not being in the WWE Hall of Fame. She said that while it would be great to be recognized, she’s okay if it doesn’t happen. Layla knows there are many other wrestlers who deserve to be in the Hall of Fame too, and she’s happy with her WWE career either way. She thinks being inducted with Michelle McCool as LayCool would be a huge honor because that was the best part of her WWE run. However, she’s grateful for her time in WWE and everything she experienced.

Layla also mentioned she’s been thinking about doing a LayCool reunion with Michelle McCool, even if it’s just for one night. She feels they owe it to each other and to their fans. Layla also said she would love to be in the WWE 2K video game, saying it would be “flawless” to see LayCool together again.

‘Of course. A WWE Hall of Fame induction would be a stamp of approval, I guess, of my career, if my career was significant in WWE but, I’m okay and I’m trying to say this in a very politically correct way because I don’t wanna offend anybody. I’m okay if I don’t get inducted into the Hall of Fame, because I feel like there are many, many wrestlers that should be in (that) haven’t been and if that wasn’t for me, I totally understand that. I am okay with walking away saying, I had a great WWE career. I was able to see everything I saw, have the life experience that I’ve had and I’m okay with it if that makes sense. Of course, I would love it. I would love to be inducted with Michelle (McCool).

I really would because I felt like that was the most significant and highest point of my WWE career. I would love for LayCool to be inducted but, if it doesn’t happen, I’m okay with that, and thank you to everybody who has ever supported me, anybody who was ever a fan, anything like that. Having to job every day, it’s okay. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. It’s whether you get a reaction or not. If I don’t get a reaction, you know what I mean? I understand but, I’m just grateful… I am (content with how things went). I’ve made peace with it and who knows what the future holds? Who knows? You never know.

I would love — actually, I’ve been thinking about it a lot. I’ve been debating. I actually feel like I would like to do a LayCool reunion. Even if it’s just for a one-night… I told you I really was done and I was like, ‘No.’ But I feel like Michelle and I owe it to each other and I feel like we owe it to the LayCool fans who would like to just see us one more time, if it’s possible. But I think I would and I would love to be in the (WWE 2K) game. Of course, of course. I think it would be great, it would be flawless (she laughed).”

Layla made it clear she is open to returning to WWE during The Royal Rumble as well. Michelle McCool took part in the Women’s Royal Rumble match last year despite the fact that she was not invited to participate in the match. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see if Team LayCool will make their return to WWE somewhere down the line, as fans definitely want it to happen.
