WWE dropped a bombshell this week by revealing that SummerSlam 2025 will be the first two-night event in the pay-per-view’s history. Following in the footsteps of WrestleMania’s expansion to two nights, SummerSlam is set to hit MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on August 2 and 3, 2025.

Former WWE superstar Nic Nemeth, known to fans as Dolph Ziggler, shared his thoughts on the significant change during his appearance on Busted Open Radio. Nemeth reflected on WWE’s recent momentum, acknowledging that while the company has always done well, it hadn’t been evolving as much as he believed it should.

“WWE is white hot right now,” Nemeth said. “Every few months, something gets better and bigger in the company, and it just makes more sense.” He stressed that WWE will have to work hard to deliver on both nights of SummerSlam, ensuring that neither show falls short. “If either one of those nights feels like it was two-thirds pretty good, then that’s not good enough,” Nemeth explained. “They’re taking this seriously, and they need to make sure that both nights are jam-packed with action that leaves fans wanting even more.”

WWE first announced the two-night expansion of SummerSlam back in May, with the company also revealing that the 2026 edition of the event will take place at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Before that, WWE’s next big two-night spectacle will be WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
