Ricochet, who had been with WWE since 2018 before leaving earlier this year, has now officially joined AEW’s roster. After making his AEW debut, he reflected on his WWE tenure, expressing frustrations about how he was used creatively. In fact, Ricochet has now been called out for those same comments.

Ricochet recently stated that while he has been consistently featured on WWE television, fans have seen more of him in terms of quantity rather than the true quality of what he can deliver in the ring.

While speaking on Sportkseeda Wrestlebinge, Vince Russo addressed what Ricochet had to say. Russo called out Ricochet and stated that Ricochet wouldn’t experience quality in AEW either as he is now working for Tony Khan, referencing Khan’s track record over the past five years.

“There’s not gonna be quality at AEW either, come on Ricochet stop. You’re going to work for Tony Khan. If you haven’t seen this guy’s track record for the last five years, I can be pretty sure there’s not gonna be any quality.”

Ricochet also revealed that Vince McMahon criticized him for being too spectacular in the ring. Regardless, Ricochet is more than happy to be in AEW right now and even has a huge title match lined up next week, so we’ll have to see how he performs in the match.
