WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin is one of the most iconic names in the history of professional wrestling. He was part of many memorable storylines during his tenure in WWE, but he also has experience in Hollywood. In fact, Steve Austin has called Adam Sandler the nicest guy he met in Hollywood.
After retiring from wrestling, ”Stone Cold” Steve Austin briefly ventured into Hollywood, appearing in films like The Longest Yard alongside Adam Sandler and later in Grown Ups 2.
While speaking during an appearance on Too Much Access, Steve Austin shared that he didn’t participate in the typical Hollywood scene, preferring to live in Marina Del Rey and focus on his athletic career. He noted that while actors have a different mindset compared to athletes, Adam Sandler stood out as a genuinely funny and the nicest guy he worked with in Hollywood. Austin appreciated every opportunity he had to work with Sandler, calling him a great person and a sweetheart.
“I always tell people, that’s the nicest guy I ever met in Hollywood. I didn’t do Hollywood, I lived in Marina Del Rey in the Venice area, so I didn’t go to parties, I didn’t go to the Hollywood hills. I didn’t do none of that shit, it wasn’t my scene. I was an athlete. Those actors are a little different. I don’t mean that in a bad way, I just mean they’re different than an athlete, they’re wired different, or I’m wired differently than they are. Adam Sandler was the funniest, nicest guy I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve enjoyed each time I’ve gotten to work with him. He’s a super guy, a sweetheart.”
As for Steve Austin at the moment, he made it clear he is open to making his in-ring return at WrestleMania 41. Whether that happens or not is a different question, but Austin will always have great memories of his time working with Adam Sandler and that’s all that matters.
