Cody Rhodes has an extraordinary ability to connect with fans, which has been crucial in his rise to becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion. It’s no wonder he was spotted holding a fan’s baby after SmackDown this week, showcasing his genuine bond with the audience.
The September 27th episode of Friday Night SmackDown brought some intriguing moments for The American Nightmare. In the main event, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton faced The Bloodline, with Owens specifically asking Cody Rhodes to stay out of the match. Despite the request, Rhodes attempted to assist his friends but unintentionally caused Owens and Orton to lose.
Owens was clearly upset with Cody Rhode’s interference, and although Orton tried to mediate, Owens shoved him as well. This tension hinted at potential twists in their storyline going forward as fans feel Owens might just betray Cody Rhodes.
Following the conclusion of Friday Night SmackDown, Cody Rhodes squared off against Austin Theory in a singles match. Afterwards, The American Nightmare spotted a fan holding up their baby. This eventually led to Rhodes getting out of the ring and hiding the baby as well, in a wholesome moment that certainly touched the hearts of everyone in attendance.

Cody Rhodes is currently focused on his upcoming match with Roman Reigns, as they will team up together to face off against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event, but fans were certainly happy to see Rhodes have such a wholesome interaction with the baby and that’s all that matters.
