Thunder Rosa is set to return to the ring after recovering from a concussion that sidelined her earlier this month. Rosa, who had been candid about her injury on Busted Open Radio, encouraged fellow wrestlers to prioritize their health and not continue performing if they suspect they may have a concussion.
During her recovery, Rosa reached out to Chris Nowinski, former WWE star and CEO of the Concussion Legacy Foundation, to better understand the impact of concussions. Her last match took place on the August 31st episode of AEW Collision, where she competed in a four-way bout against Hikaru Shida, Serena Deeb, and Queen Aminata.
Recently, Rosa was seen throwing out the first pitch at a San Diego Padres baseball game, further indicating that she’s on the mend. According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rosa has now been medically cleared to return to in-ring action, and fans can expect to see her back in an AEW ring soon.
“Rosa has been cleared to return and threw out the first pitch at a San Diego Padres baseball game this past week.”
As Thunder Rosa prepares to make her highly anticipated return, the AEW Women’s division is sure to get a major boost with her presence. Fans are eager to see what’s next for the former AEW Women’s Champion.
