WWE is all about tradition, and they want to maintain their annual events for as long as possible. They announced several live events as part of their annual Holiday Tour but left out the post-Christmas MSG show and the reason behind that has been revealed.
WWE took to their website and announced nine live events for its holiday tour. The tour kicks off on December 26 in Jacksonville, FL, and features additional stops in Tampa, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Orlando, Chicago, Miami, Houston, and Detroit. Friday Night SmackDown will take place in Tampa on December 27, followed by Monday Night Raw in Houston on December 30.
However, fans were surprised that they didn’t announce the post-Christmas MSG show. According to PWInsider, WWE did not include the traditional December 26 event at Madison Square Garden in their recent announcement about holiday live events. This omission was intentional.
While the December 26 event is confirmed, WWE is currently prioritizing upcoming events, including an October SmackDown taping at Barclays Center in Brooklyn and the December 14 Saturday Night’s Main Event at Nassau Coliseum. An official announcement for their return to Madison Square Garden will be made in due course.
Saturday Night’s Main Event will also be taking place on December 14th from Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, so fans will definitely have a lot of things to look forward to during the Holiday season this year. Regardless, we’ll have to see when WWE will make the announcement for the Madison Square Garden show.
