Cassie Lee, known as Peyton Royce during her time in WWE, where she became a tag team champion, has been on an extended break from wrestling after giving birth to her son and daughter. During this hiatus, she appears to be gearing up for her return to the ring.

Cassie Lee and Shawn Spears announced last year that they were expecting another addition to their family. They did not have to wait too long as they welcomed their second child, Harley Dean, on June 21, 2024.

Cassie Lee has not competed inside the squared circle since her match against Jessica Troy as part of World Series Wrestling’s upcoming Full Throttle tour on October 7th, making fans wonder what would be next for her during her hiatus.

While speaking during INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Shawn Spears provided an update on Cassie Lee’s in-ring return status. He mentioned that she has been watching wrestling more frequently than before and has been feeling the desire to return to the ring. According to Spears, she has already started weight training and is preparing herself for an eventual return when she feels fully ready.

“She watches it a lot. She watches it more than I do. That doesn’t mean I don’t watch wrestling, it just means I’m busy a lot. I’m around, I can see a lot of stuff. Yeah, she keeps up on it,” Spears said. “She still loves watching a lot of her friends, and she’s still getting the itch. So she’s already weight training, she’s doing all that kind of stuff. She’s getting back into the mix and things like that. When she feels 100% good to go there’s a ring close by, so she plans on getting back into it.”

We’ll have to wait and see if Cassie Lee makes her in-ring return this year, as she’s still in recovery following the birth of her second child. Fans are eager for her comeback, and many would love to see her compete again as soon as possible.
