MVP made a surprise debut at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam this week in New York City, where he confronted Prince Nana and suggested that perhaps Swerve Strickland could use better management. This moment left fans buzzing about what could be in store for AEW’s latest addition.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T shared his thoughts on MVP’s impactful debut in AEW, praising his ability to elevate talent and comparing him to the likes of Paul Heyman.

“MVP is a guy who, during the pandemic, was one of the MVPs. He did some hell of a work during that time, as well as with Bobby Lashley in The Hurt Business. He did some really, really good work. He really did,” Booker T said. “So, for me to have someone like MVP to be able to carry that mantle… because he does it and he does it well, for that reason and that reason only, like a Paul Heyman.”

Booker T emphasized how MVP has the unique talent of making others look good without needing to get physically involved in the ring. “

“We have very few guys who can step into that position that can actually go out there and make somebody look good, and they don’t even have to get in the ring to actually do it. That’s MVP.”

So give that guy his shine as far as being that guy who can go out there and get that done with these young guys. For me, I’m glad to see him be there.”

Rumors are already swirling about MVP forming a new faction in AEW, tentatively called The Hurt Syndicate. Many fans and insiders believe that Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin could potentially join this new group, reminiscent of their successful run with The Hurt Business in WWE.

With MVP now part of the AEW roster and the possibility of forming a faction like The Hurt Syndicate, the landscape of AEW could change significantly. Fans are eager to see what the future holds for MVP and who will join his ranks in this new venture.
