Swerve Strickland experienced a major setback at AEW All Out as endured a vicious attack involving a hypodermic needle and a brutal chair shot and ultimately lost to Adam Page. Strickland was written off television and expected to take some time away from the ring.
AEW WrestleDream is set for Tacoma, Washington on Saturday, October 12th, and will be broadcast live from the Tacoma Dome. With only a few weeks left for the event, fans wonder if Strickland will make it in time for the show.
During the September 25 Grand Slam episode of Dynamite, Prince Nana provided an update on Swerve Strickland, confirming that he hasn’t been medically cleared to return but is working hard to recover. MVP interrupted Nana, hinting at a potential business partnership with Swerve, setting the stage for a possible storyline between the two.
According to a report by Fightful Select, while Swerve Strickland is still off the road, he has “always” been expected to make an appearance at the upcoming WrestleDream event.
We had already reported that Swerve Strickland is expected to return sooner. Swerve Strickland’s comeback is sure to be a highlight of the event, making it a must-watch for wrestling fans as the possibilities are truly endless for the former AEW World Champion. So we’ll have to see what he will do at WrestleDream next month.
