Former AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya has officially extended her stay with All Elite Wrestling.

According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, Saraya has re-signed with the promotion on a one-year agreement, with her contract now running until September 2025.

The news follows Saraya’s recent loss to Jamie Hayter at the Collision Grand Slam show. After the match, Saraya and AEW engaged in discussions about her future with the company. While AEW held an option year on her initial deal, it was implied that this new agreement might differ from the original terms.

Saraya’s wrestling career has been nothing short of historic. Before joining AEW, she built a remarkable legacy in WWE, where she competed under the ring name Paige. After signing with WWE in 2011, Saraya quickly made a name for herself in NXT, becoming the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion. Her incredible rise continued when she debuted on the main roster in 2014 and captured the WWE Divas Championship on her first night, making her the youngest Divas Champion in WWE history at just 21 years old.

Saraya’s time in WWE was filled with triumphs, but her career took an unfortunate turn in 2017 when a serious neck injury forced her to retire from in-ring competition. Despite her inability to wrestle, Saraya continued to contribute to WWE in various roles, including as the SmackDown General Manager. However, as WWE shifted focus within the women’s division, Saraya’s role in the company diminished, and she eventually parted ways with WWE in 2022 when her contract expired.

Her departure from WWE marked the beginning of a new chapter. Saraya made her surprise debut in AEW at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam in September 2022, a moment that sent shockwaves through the wrestling world. After a five-year hiatus from in-ring action, Saraya’s return was met with immense anticipation. She quickly established herself as one of AEW’s top stars, going on to win the AEW Women’s World Championship and further solidify her place in wrestling history.

Now, with her new contract secured, Saraya will remain a pivotal figure in AEW’s women’s division, continuing to build on her storied career and elevate the division alongside some of the best talent in the world.

As Saraya prepares for another year in AEW, her re-signing shows the company’s commitment to its top talent. With plenty of potential storylines ahead, the former champion’s presence is sure to keep fans excited.
