As CM Punk gears up for his highly anticipated Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood on October 5, the Chicago native is already eyeing future opponents in WWE.

During an interview with Brady of 103.5 KISS FM in Chicago, Punk shared an exciting list of WWE stars he hopes to face once his feud with McIntyre concludes.

Punk’s list includes a mix of familiar faces and fresh opponents, such as Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Chad Gable, Ludwig Kaiser, World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, Dominik Mysterio, and Damian Priest. Reflecting on these potential matchups, Punk expressed excitement about revisiting old rivalries while taking on newer challenges.

“It’s a fair mix of people that I’ve already been in the ring with and people that I haven’t,” Punk said. “Guys like Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Randy [Orton], Cody [Rhodes] — there’s fun stuff to do there. But then there’s the crop of people that I’ve never been in the ring with — Chad Gable is one that really sticks out. I like watching [Ludwig] Kaiser… Gunther, obviously.”

Punk also mentioned his interest in working with Dominik Mysterio, with whom he’s had some dark matches, and Damian Priest, noting a “loose promise” to eventually main event Madison Square Garden together.

While Punk’s future matchups are generating buzz, the focus remains on his heated rivalry with McIntyre, which will culminate in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood. Due to a torn triceps injury sustained at the Royal Rumble in January, the match will mark only Punk’s fourth televised bout since his WWE return.

Before Bad Blood, Punk is set to make a special appearance as a guest referee on NXT’s premiere episode on The CW Network, airing on October 1. The event will take place in his hometown of Chicago, further adding to the excitement surrounding his return.

With a wide range of potential opponents on the horizon, CM Punk’s WWE future promises to be as thrilling as ever. Will Punk make good on his promises and deliver dream matches with these top WWE stars?
