AEW and NJPW have gained significant momentum through their ongoing collaboration, with STARDOM now playing an increasingly prominent role in their partnership. It seems that Toni Storm is set to make her in-ring return at an upcoming STARDOM event, further strengthening the connection between these promotions.

It was previously announced that Toni Storm is set to challenge Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women’s Championship at the STARDOM event on October 5th, in what is a highly anticipated matchup.

In addition, STARDOM has officially announced on Twitter that Toni Storm will compete at their event on September 28th, teaming up with Mina Shirakawa to take on Mayu Iwatani and AZM. This marks her first STARDOM match in five years, as she last competed in July 2019.

Regardless, we will have to wait and see how Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa teaming up will tie into an eventual storyline with Mariah May, as it is clear AEW has big plans for them.
