The Young Bucks, Matt and Nick Jackson have faced criticism over their personalities and the image they project. They continue to get a lot of hate from fans for numerous reasons and now have addressed haters who want AEW to fail.

AEW President Tony Khan, known for his wrestling passion, faced a Twitter controversy impacting his reputation earlier this year. There has been a lot of online discourse surrounding AEW as well, with many people with bad faith actively wanting AEW’s demise and claiming the company is doomed.

While speaking to Justin Barrasso, The Young Bucks addressed critics who have been rooting for AEW’s failure since its inception. Reflecting on the journey, they noted that ever since Hangman Page revealed the AEW logo on Being The Elite, people have been predicting the company’s downfall. They mentioned that they’ve faced doubters throughout their careers, but having that “chip on their shoulders” has always driven them.

They acknowledged that no matter how often they prove the naysayers wrong, the goalposts will keep moving. According to them, trying to change the minds of those critics is pointless, as they’ll always find something new to criticize. Instead, they believe in using the negativity as motivation, but ultimately, focusing on winning for themselves and letting history prove their success.

“People have been predicting our demise since Hangman flipped his phone over and showed the world the AEW logo on that special BTE episode. People have been rooting against my brother and me, specifically, our entire lives. But I don’t know if we’d know what to do with ourselves if we didn’t have that chip on our shoulders. It’s kind of all we know. I have learned though, that you can keep proving the doubters wrong, they’ll just continue to move the goal post. It’s a fool’s errand if you think you’ll ever change their minds. So let it fuel you all you want. Let it inspire you. But don’t think they’re all of a sudden going to have that lightbulb moment and admit they’re wrong. That’s never going to happen. They’ll find a new thing to claim against you. They’ll continue to engagement farm. They’ll continue to parrot silly nicknames from shock-jock grifters. Just win for yourself and let history speak for itself. With more unprecedented success comes even more noise.”

Some people believe Tony Khan’s weak leadership skills are the reason for AEW’s current decline, but even MJF defended the company from detractors who want AEW to fail. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see how AEW will continue to grow in the coming weeks, as fans feel they are on the cusp of greatness soon.
