Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix have been important parts of AEW since it started in 2019. Recently, there were rumors that they had signed long-term deals with WWE, which got fans excited. However, those rumors are not true right now but it appears that Rey Fenix has now said goodbye to AEW, leaving fans wondering what he will do next.

Last month, rumors began about Penta talking with WWE, with reports indicating that he and Fenix would only join if they both signed together. WWE was reportedly very interested, particularly in Fenix. Cory Hayes from PWN even suggested that WWE had already signed The Lucha Brothers and planned to debut them on the main roster.

However, it was clarified that The Lucha Brothers are still under contract with AEW and cannot leave for WWE at this time. On Instagram, Fenix posted several photos, many focusing on his time in All Elite Wrestling. His caption, “Bendita Lucha Libre, Gracias por todo” (Bless Lucha Libre, thanks for everything) made it apparent to fans that he is bidding goodbye to AEW.

We have also reported that Rey Fenix could potentially stay in AEW longer than anticipated. In the end, we’ll have to wait and see if The Lucha Brothers will move to WWE once everything is settled. While it appears their time with AEW might be coming to a close, nothing has been confirmed yet.
